Across the weekend, you’ll be guided through practical, hands-on content creation by guest contributor Rachel Vercoe of @myhorsewillow. With half a million online followers, Rachel brings real-world experience and a grounded, approachable way of teaching that cuts through the overwhelm and shows you exactly how to create engaging, authentic content.
This is not just theory — you’ll be actively creating. From capturing beautiful moments with horses to learning how to film, frame and tell a story, you’ll walk away with content you’re proud of and skills you can continue to use long after the retreat ends.
Your hosts Rachel and Hannah will have their personal horses on-site, as well as the resident horses, and other animals, giving you the opportunity to spend intentional time with them, deepen your connection, and capture truly unique content. You’ll also receive a professional photo of your choosing — a special keepsake from your experience.
Between sessions, you’ll slow down and soak in the magic of the property, share meals, connect with like-minded women, and give yourself the space to reconnect with your creativity.

Day OneArrival & Opening Evening
Arrive in the afternoon and take your time settling into the space — unpack, explore the property and get comfortable as your hosts, Hannah and Rachel, show you around and help you settle in for the retreat ahead.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll come together for a relaxed evening session where you’ll meet each other, connect with the horses and be guided through a live demonstration. This is a welcoming introduction designed to ground you in the experience and spark your creativity from the very beginning.
From there, we’ll share a nourishing dinner before flowing into content conversations and practical education — giving you a clear understanding of what to expect across the retreat and how to make the most of your time creating, learning and connecting.

Day TwoCreate. Capture. Connect
Wake up ready to dive into a full day of hands-on content creation. The morning is all about exploring the property in new ways, spotting unique angles, and capturing moments that inspire — all while learning to see your surroundings through a creator’s lens.
Afterward, we’ll move into a session focused on refining and editing your content, helping you bring your stories to life with practical tips and guidance. Midday, enjoy a long, leisurely lunch in the stunning setting, soaking in the views, connection and a little extra indulgence along the way.
The afternoon is your chance to shine: select your favourite animal, location, or vibe and step into a professional photo session. We’ll also explore behind-the-scenes filming techniques so you can capture the process as creators and make content that really resonates.
As the evening rolls in, share dinner and lively content discussions with the group, then step out for a magical night around a fire at a different part of the property. Guests will be guided to this unique spot, where stories are shared, connections are deepened, and creativity is sparked under the stars.

Day ThreeA Guided & Open Final Morning
Our final morning is shaped by the group, giving you the opportunity to revisit anything you’d like more support with — from refining your content to asking questions or capturing those last pieces of footage.
If you feel called to a slower pace, you’re also welcome to simply enjoy the property a little longer — taking in the surroundings, observing the animals, and soaking up the calm, creative energy of the space before the retreat comes to a close.

How It Works | FAQ-
This retreat is designed for horse owners, riders and horse lovers who want to better understand hoof care.
No trimming experience is necessary, beginners are welcome.

No. You’re welcome to bring your own horse if you’d like to learn directly with them, or you can work with one of our horses during the retreat.

If you’re bringing your own horse, please ensure it is well-handled, safe, and comfortable around people and other horses.
You will need to bring sufficient feed, hay, and any supplements, along with any other care items your horse requires over the weekend.
Yarding will be provided, and we are available to assist if needed, but guests are responsible for bringing everything their horse needs to stay happy and healthy during the retreat and tending to them.

Yes. Our Qualified Farrier will demonstrate proper techniques and then guide you through hands-on practice so you can learn safely and confidently.

Hoof trimming does involve some bending, lifting and working around horses. It can be very physically demanding.
Guests are welcome to participate at their own comfort level and take breaks or observe whenever desired.

No. This retreat is designed as an educational and experiential learning weekend rather than a formal certification.

Your retreat includes two nights accommodation, all meals during the retreat, farrier demonstrations, hands-on learning sessions, an exciting The Hoof Retreat Curated Gift Pack and access to a horse for the weekend if you do not bring your own.

The member price is available to current clients of Hannah Darcy & David Kennedy Farrier and members of the Trendy Pony app community.
The non-member price applies to guests who are not current clients or part of the Trendy Pony app community. -
Twin share means two guests sharing one queen bed in the same room. This option is designed for couples, friends or family members who are comfortable sharing a bed.
It is not two separate single beds. -
Yes. Members are welcome to bring a friend or partner who is not currently a member.
The twin share member pricing can still be used as long as one of the guests is a current member or client.

No. Only one guest needs to be a current member or client to access the member twin share pricing when booking together.

We recommend bringing comfortable outdoor clothing, closed-toe sturdy boots(compulsory) suitable for working around horses, and weather-appropriate layers.If you have your own hoof tools you’re welcome to bring them, but tools will also be available during the retreat.
